For anyone who has started Ballroom dance, the first thoughts are often:
"When can I even dance Balllroom--isn't it just classic music?"

These aren't uncommon thoughts! With over 28 styles of dance to choose from, Ballroom dance covers everything from Waltz to Foxtrot, Salsa, Swing and beyond. It may come as a surprise how many contemporary songs can easily pair with your new dance skills!
The friendly writers at Ballroom Dance Guide have compiled an easy list of songs appropriate for different styles of Ballroom dance, including lots of contemporary fun tunes! Yes, Foxtrot can be danced to modern music--we swear! We suggest using a simple Youtube, Apple Music, or Spotify search to quickly find songs. As always, you can always ask our wondeful dance teachers and instructors for advice for whatever dance you are working on at the moment. Enjoy!
